What is 2-Step Verification and why should I use it?

Also known as Two-Factor Authentication or ‘2FA’, 2-Step Verification is a process which strengthens the security of your account by requiring two login methods to verify your identity.

This additional protection measure helps to keep the information in your account safe against phishing attacks, or in other instances where an unauthorised individual might guess or gain access to your password. For these reasons, Donr highly recommends enabling 2-Step Verification on your account.

To verify that it’s really you trying to access your account, our 2-Step Verification process will see you use your mobile phone as a secondary log in method.

The process of setting up 2-Step Verification can be complete in just a couple of steps.

Firstly, log into your Donr Account. Once you’re in the dashboard click your name on the top right corner and a drop-down menu will appear. Click ‘2-Step Verification’ and follow the instructions.

You will be asked to enter the mobile number which you would like to use as your secondary log in method. We will then send a PIN via text to this number, before asking you to enter this PIN into our confirmation screen. Finally, an email will then be sent to the address attached to your Donr account – please click the link in the email to finish the set-up of 2-Step Verification on your account.
