    To help a major supporter to reach a fundraising goal, CHUF set up a Text Raffle, with the winning prize of a luxury trip to Marbella.

    The Challenge

    Simple system needed for raffle

    Paige Jones aimed to raise £21,000 in 2021 in memory of her cousin, Nelle. To contribute towards her target, Paige organised a fundraising raffle to win a luxury holiday to Marbella. Having secured such an incredible prize, CHUF wanted to encourage as many supporters as possible to enter and donate.

    Having searched for a simple solution, they settled on Text Raffles. Through Text Raffles, it is quick and easy to coordinate a raffle without the need to register with a local authority or the Gambling Commission. Furthermore, it is quick and easy for supporters to enter, encouraging donations.

    The Solution

    In just a few minutes, CHUF was able to create the raffle. To draw attention to the fantastic prize, the keyword ‘MARBS’ was chosen, with supporters given the option to donate £5 when entering.

    The competition was open for a couple of weeks in the lead up to a fundraising event, organised to celebrate the £21,000 target being reached. As entries can be accessed immediately through the Donr Dashboard, the competition closed during the event, with the winner announced live to the room moments later.
