Rear elevation of the residence at bigger scale It is easier to appreciate this residence when it is seen at bigger scale. Although it is a large home, it seems to blend into the trees and become part of the landscape. In designing architecture, in the round so to speak, each individual elevation should receive the same attention to detail. The house becomes a sculpture and like a sculpture one elevation ties effortlessly into the other. There is really no front, side or back, every elevation is important. In the final concept the exterior materials are carried into the interior space so that these textures become integrated with the architecture and there is no definite line between inside and outside. Finally we have the interior space which reflects the exterior contours of the building. The easiest way to visualize this is to observe a ceramic vase, inside and outside are one with the other.
